LEOPOLD'S TAVERN IS HIRING A REGIONAL CHEF FOR OUR CALGARY MARKET!

We are looking for a driven Regional Chef to oversee 6 kitchens and champion Leo's culture in the Calgary area. In this role, you will coach and develop strong leaders, elevate Leo’s kitchens, develop strong culinary leaders, a deep back bench, and drive consistency, quality, and performance across an entire region.

What You’ll Be Doing

Specific Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Oversee kitchen operations across multiple Leo's locations, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Partner with the Director of BOH Operations and Regional team to implement and uphold standard operating procedures.
  • Support and develop Chefs through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Recruit, train, and grow Chefs and kitchen staff within the region.
  • Monitor inventory, food, and labour costs to drive profitability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Food & Beverage teams on menu updates, promotions, and product launches.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and community partners.
  • Conduct regular inspections to uphold cleanliness, maintenance, and operational standards.
  • Analyze sales and labour data to identify opportunities and recommend improvements.
  • Work with BOH teams to maintain kitchen equipment.
  • Resolve team issues and support positive workplace culture.
  • Communicate company initiatives clearly between Support team and in-store teams.

What We’re Looking For

In addition to the specific responsibilities, here are the specific job requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in a management role (multi-unit preferred).
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Deep understanding of kitchen operations, food cost, and labour management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Problem-solving and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with the ability to make sound decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and building maintenance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Flexibility to travel and work in different locations.
  • Experience managing regional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to lead and manage change effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial management principles and experience managing a P&L.
  • Ability to manage a diverse team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Salary (based on experience): $95,000-$110,00/year including tip out, annual bonus, benefits, and Leo’s Livin’ perks.
